Poppy Farm is a four acre smallholding in Lawford. We currently grow many vegetables on site and are one year into converting the holding to organic status with the Soil Association. We will be fully organic by January 2011.

Our aim is to supply local people with fresh, locally grown vegetables and we currently sell our produce on Saturdays and Sundays on site and once a month at the Lawford Craft and Farmers Market.

From 2010 we hope to develop our direct sales to the public and are currently exploring the possibility of providing a local box scheme following enquiries from several customers and businesses.

Short term aims are to build soil fertility and increase our range of produce with the addition of soft fruit and our own eggs.

Longer term aims are to develop the holding into an environmental educational centre for children and adults with advice and support from the Soil Association.
