Further afield

As we go back to visit these places in our own travels we will expand what to look out for and enjoy. If you get there before us why not contact us and tell us your experiences.

Wrabness
RSPB managed Stour Estuary Bird Reserve at Stour Woods, about 1 mile west of the village on the road to Harwich. There is a car park and miles of woodland to explore that continues right down to the shore of the river Stour. Bird hides enable the thousands of migrating birds to be observed. The car park and hides are well signposted. Many of the paths are easily managed but wellies are needed if there’s been a lot of rain. In spring the woods are a carpet of white anemones and later there are bluebells.
