Welcome to Visit-Manningtree

Walks in, around, near and from Manningtree

Nestling on the banks of the River Stour, just a stone’s-throw from Constable Country, Manningtree can offer the keen walker a host of idyllic walks many of which form part of the Essex Way.

The Essex Way is a long-distance path stretching right across the County of Essex from Epping in the south-west through Manningtree to the port of Harwich in the north-east. Following footpaths and ancient green lanes it covers a distance of 81 miles.

The path leads you through ancient woodlands, open farmland, tree-lined river valleys and leafy green lanes, unveiling historic towns and villages along the way.

Whether you want to walk from your doorstep or head a little further afield Manningtree is the perfect base. Have a browse around our suggestions and if you have any to add please feel free to contact us.

Where would you like to walk?

"Thank you so much.
The guided walk made our holiday."
