Continue down the eastern and southern edges of the wood, turning left at the end towards Round Wood. Keep the wood on your left and proceed across the pasture to a gate on a track where you turn left. Follow the track around the southern edge of Round Wood and then follow the cross-field path in a northerly direction, ignoring a track which goes off towards the east at the corner of the wood. The cross-field path bends round to the right and eventually joins up with a track leading to Thornbush Hall Farm. Keeping Thornbush Hall on your left walk down its drive until you arrive at the B1113 again. Walk 6 -
Hadleigh, Suffolk Park in the car park by Toppesfield Bridge to the west of Hadleigh. The lane from Hadleigh town centre crosses the bridge and turns sharp left. Follow this lane around a bend to the right and left and take the footpath on the left across the football ground, behind the pavilion, over the River Brett and onto the B1070. Turn left and the “Stop” sign turn right continuing on up the hill to a signpost advertising the Hadleigh Railway Walk on the right. Follow this (leaving the old station building on the left) and continue along the track bed for about 2.5 miles. The railway walk ends at Station Farm on Woodlands Road. Turn right down the road taking care as there are no pavements and there is some fast traffic, and take the signposted footpath on the right across the field to the corner of Raydon Great Wood. Continue along the path with the wood on your right and at the end of this section the path turns right through the hedge and then continues on to the left across the field until it enters the wood again, turning right almost immediately and then bearing left following the waymarks until it emerges from the wood along a field headland. At the next field boundary the path curves steeply downhill to the right, leaving a copse on the left, before re-entering a small wood, crossing a small stream and turning right alongside the woodland leading steeply uphill towards a marker at the top. Keep straight on at the marker, bearing left downhill between the two power lines and emerging on to the B1070 again at Benton End Farm. Turn right along the road and then shortly take the foot path on the left across the river, past the sewage works and, upon reaching the road, turn right along it until you come to the car park at Toppesfield Bridge Once more.
